In 2002, Normand McGuire wrote a snooker scoreboard in HTML/VBScript.

This software is a very nice, small package which works on any Windows-based computer and, when projected onto an overhead screen, lets everyone in the room know the score.

It is optimised for 1024x768 resolution, and is really easy to use.

Normand has graciously agreed to allow anyone who wants it to use it. All he asks in return is that you e-mail him and let him known the name, dates, venue and the city
where the software is being used and also how you like it: email Normand McGuire

The software has no audit trail, so you will still require someone to do that with a piece of paper,

User instructions:

Type in the name of the first player next to 'Player 1', and also the name of the opponent next to 'Player 2'

When Player 1 breaks off, click 'Start' and the clock at the top will start.

When the player pots a ball, click on the square corresponding to the ball potted and its value will add to that players 'Break' score.

When the players turn ends, click 'Start/End Break'. This will add the Break score to the Points score, zero out the Break score, and transfer control to Player 2.

In the case of a foul, click on the coloured square of the other player corresponding to the value of the foul.

If the Break score gets messed up, simply swipe over the existing score and type in the correct one.

At the end of the frame, click on the 'Stop/Player n Wins Frame corresponding to the winning player.
